History

The railway first came to the Narembeen siding in 1917 on a line extending northwards from Narrogin via Yilliminning, Dudinin, Kulin and Kondinin. Narembeen siding was the railhead from 1917 until 1925 when the Merredin line was opened. By 1968 the stationmaster J Dawson, had two staff, and 20 trains a week passes through Narembeen Station. After the closure of the station, the Shire took over the responsibility for the place, and a Youth Club has operated for a number of years at the Station.
