The Dongara Golf Course and Club Rooms have local social significance for their connection with sporting and social activities in the town.
Located overlooking the Dongara Golf Course, the club building has a corrugated iron gable roof which
extends to cover a partly enclosed wide verandah. The timber frame building has fibro and brick cladding. Entrance to the front verandah is via timber steps. The verandah has a lattice balustrade.

The course has been fully irrigated.
This 18 hole golf course is set in bush land just east of Point Leander Drive. It was hand cleared by Joe Clarkson, Bob Cousins and Ray Carter. Originally consisting of 9 holes, Joe Clarkson played here with his son Charlie as caddie in 1931. The course has become popular with locals and visiting golfers alike.
