Located on the north side of High Street, the building is a single-storey timber framed residential property, clad with weatherboard and topped with a gabled corrugated iron roof. A verandah wraps around part of the front and western façades. The property has densely planted gardens to both the front and rear.
Internally the building comprises four bedrooms (one a former lounge), kitchen and bathroom arranged on either side of a central hallway. The rear of the property (including the bathroom) is a later extension to the original building. Many of the rooms are brightly painted.
Some original elements of the property include the timber floorboards and kitchen stove.
The property appears to be in fair condition.
The house was constructed under the War Service Homes scheme by the Workers Homes Board in 1927/28. It remained in the ownership of the War Service Homes Commission until 1946.
