The group demonstrates a particular style in building, of substance and permanence compared to the bulk of timber framed corrugated iron clad housing in the town. They are an integral part of this important complex of railway buildings in Coolgardie that were vital to the development and history of the Eastern Goldfields.
One of three houses built for railway employees in Woodward Street. Simple rectangular, stone, 3 room building with gabled, corrugated iron roof and timber framed, iron clad additions. There is a very large Moreton Bay Fig tree in the back garden.
A part of the railway building complex which was a vital communications and transport link for this isolated town. This building accommodated a higher ranked railway worker and his family.
