Statement of Significance

Conservation of the surviving Victorian character is critical for architectural, environmental and historic reasons.

Physical Description

A surviving Victorian streetscape largely developed around 1 900, comprising the typical heterogenous collection of single and two-storied buildings built up to the street boundary with wide protective verandahs over the pavements.

The precinct contains a number of places of specific individual significance as noted in the definition of the precinct, some of which have already been assessed .
