History

Perth Zoo Dome Cage (fmr), a dome shaped iron cage with a stone base, located within the grounds of the Perth Zoo. The structure was constructed in 1901 as an outdoor exercise area and display cage for lions and tigers, and together with the Bear Cages (c. 1898) and the hexagonal aviary (c. 1900), is one of only three animal display cages that remain at Perth Zoo from the initial period of construction circa 1900
