The place is a good example of a stone residence in the Victorian Georgian style, representing the expansion of Fremantle in the gold boom period of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
The place contributes to a substantially intact late nineteenth and early twentieth century streetscape close to the centre of Fremantle.
Single storey stone and brick quoining to window and door openings house with a Colorbond hipped roof. The roof has two brick chimneys with corbelling and the slightly bull nosed verandah returns down both sides and is supported by chamfered timber posts between a cast metal frieze.
A house was erected on the lot in 1898 for John and Martha Blinco. John Blinco was a prominent Fremantle citizen and chief warden. (History Files, Fremantle Local History Collection)
