The site represents a way of life no longer practiced.
The site at the rear of the lot is was where the second blacksmith in town was operated by W Bottcher in about 1911 or 1912. Bill Honeyman started his business before the war, but firmly established the saddlery business with his wife Vera when he returned from the war in 1918. Later the site is where the first hardware section of the Co-op was located.
