This place is a representative example of an early shop and has historic value for its association with the development of the Maylands townsite, making a significant contribution to this
streetscape.
A pair of shops with a decorative roof level parapet showing arts and crafts influences in its design. The dado has authentic tiles of green and maroon and the metal shopfronts appear to be authentic. The whole of the masonry has been painted over on the street façade. It has stucco brick walls and an iron roof. It also has an authentic steel framed and iron clad awning.
An authentic and good example of an early suburban shop that makes an important contribution to the town centre streetscape.
