The building is a good example of building styles from an earlier period. It's construction type and dedicated use make it an important part of the district's building stock.
Located about 50 metres east of the homestead and a similar distance from the York/Williams
Road.
The shed contained a forge, bellows and anvil and other tools necessary for blacksmithing.
