The site is significant as an early meeting place for settlers to conduct religious worship.
It is situated adjacent and to the south west of the original church. It is built of brick and
in the 1960's style of building.
With the affluent times of the early 1960's, local church members felt the need to build a
new place of worship and to utilise the old building as a meeting place/supper area.
The Foundation stone was laid by JG Shackley on 8.4.1962 with Psalm 23 to
commemorate the occasion.
Each Sunday at 3pm services were held and in February to traditional Harvest Festival
was celebrated. This entailed two Sunday services and a concert on Monday night during
which the produce and fruit were auctioned.
Each August, the original church anniversary (10 August) was honoured with a tea
meeting and concert.
Due to the dwindling rural population the Church was officially closed with a final
Thanks Giving Service on 10 august 1997.
