Statement of Significance

The building has value as a social centre within the town.

Physical Description

The building is located within a residential area and occupies a prominent corner position. The main hall has buttresses on three sides and presents a parapet wall face to Gill Street.
There is a white marble foundation stone 62 cm x 34 cm with the following inscription:


MORAWA LODGE No. 158 W.A.C. THIS FOUNDATION STONE WAS LAID BY VERY WOR.BRO. G.A.KEMPTON D. G.I. W. ON JUNE 26TH1938.
H.A.COUSINS. N.L. GILL S. W. WORSHIPFUL MASTER.
H. COAKER J.W. A.J. SMITH SEC.
