The place demonstrates associations with the development of the town of Quairading. The architecture is representative of the period and contributes to the main-streetscape of Quairading.
Each of the three Heal Street shop fronts has a large glazed panel with a row of vertical louvres across the top, directly beneath the pillar-less canopy extending out over the footpath. The remainder of the shopfront under the canopy is blue glazed ceramic tiles. The canopy underside is lined with light coloured varnished timber boards. The building facade above the canopy is face brickwork. The corner of the building is truncated at the street intersection.
The rear of the site was the power concession for the town of Quairading during the late 1920s. The builder also constructed the Shire offices.
