The place is a significant element in the main-streetscape of Quairading and the town cape . It is one of the oldest buildings in the main street and demonstrates an architecture representative of its period.
Timber framed weatherboard and corrugated iron building. A decorative gablet with a finial is central in the roof frontage, the interior floors are still the original timber. The verandah across the front covers the footpath and is supported by 4 square timber columns. This was not part of the original structure. Similarly, the glazed shop fronts with brass fixtures replaced the two original double hung windows. The shopfront entry is central, as was the bank entry. Additions in metal-deck colourbond cladding have been constructed on the rear and west sides.
The Western Australian Bank initially operated in Parker Street until it purchased the National Bank premises in 1916.
