Statement of Significance

The place demonstrates a way of life associated with education in Ardath.

Physical Description

Timber framed and weatherboard clad with a corrugated iron gable roof. A verandah extends across the front of the cottage, under the main roof. Half of the verandah has been enclosed with lattice.

History

The government provided housing for the teachers from the 1920's onwards. Until that time the school teacher was required to board with private families.
