The place is significant in commemorating those who served Australia in a time of war.
Tapestry red brick pillars
The pillars were constructed following the Second World War. They were constructed for the RSL and were dedicated in 1954. Commemorative plaques were originally purchased by the CWA and placed on trees. Unfortunately the trees died, and the plaques were removed and stored at the Rigby's home Until they were then placed on the brick pillars. The pillars and plaques commemorate those who served their country.
