Located at the southern end of Hines Road, near Rennie Crescent are three WA Christmas Trees (Nuytsia floribunda). These trees have been entered in the Tree Society’s Register of Significant Trees and subsequently accepted by the National Trust of Australia (WA) as being a notable example of native species now uncommon in the metropolitan area. At the time of classification (1984) the trees were 8 metres in height, with a circumference of 0.8 metres and a canopy spread of 5 metres.
WA Christmas Trees produce scarlet flowers around December and are a member of the mistletoe family. They are native to Western Australia.
