Statement of Significance

The site is significant for its association with early method of transport of people, produce
and stock.

Physical Description

Situated close to Carrolup River with its large pools.

Lies in a depression (now showing evidence of some salinity) running parallel with the
river.

The water hole has been excavated with a water holding diameter of about 10 metres.

On the NW side a clump of bamboos has been planted. Currently the water is slightly
brackish but still suitable for sheep

To the NSW (0.5kms) are the homestead remnants.
