Statement of Significance

Historic - Brother & Sister Wright purchased 61ha in 1935. this was to become known as 'The Mission'. Later on the mission site an Agricultural high School, for Aboriginal boys was established wider the direction of the State Baptist Church.

The Gnowangerup Agricultural School is a well equipped school catering for the needs of boys who do not fit into the mainstream school system.
