Statement of Significance

Historic: Settlers Dawson, Paisley, Bird, Wray, Beard and Burridge applied for a school in their area around 1932. The school was used for the first time on 28th June 1936. Mrs Hilda Paisley was thier final teacher in 1944 when the school closed on 15th December. The school was sold to the United Aboriginal Mission, Gnowangerup.

Physical Description

Roundwood School was opened in June 1936. The school site is surrounded by white gums and there is no evidence left of the school.
