Historic - The Stutley family came from Murraytown, SA in 1904. The remains of the first house built in
1905 are still on the property. CH Stutley known affectionately as 'Dad' also started a Butcher Shop
in the town of Gnowangerup. He was instumentcd in the building of the Jackitup Hall and School.
Located near the corner of Jackitup and Moores Dam Road, Rocky View was in the centre of the Jackitup
community. Across the road is the site of the Jackitup School and the Jackitup Hall. The paddock near
the house still has a cement cricket pitch and sports shed in it. There is the remains of an old bough
shed, a timber shearing shed and other outbuildings dating back to 1904. Rockview is constructed of local stone with cement bats around doors and windows, tin roof with bullnose verandah.
