This place has historic and social significance, and some aspects have architectural value. In the early 1900s C A Andre had the 'Terminus Hotel' at Parkers Range. The licence, not the building, was transferred to Marvel Loch in 1910, and a "first class pub with billiard room" was erected. The hotel was known as the South Yilgarn Hotel, but in recent years it has been more commonly known as the Marvel Loch Hotel. The building has served as a popular meeting place for residents and mine workers for almost ninety years.
Built around 1910, the hotel originally had corrugated iron walls and was surrounded by a large verandah. The inside has since been extended to include the verandah. At the rear is a bungalow providing accommodation for visitors and mine workers. The bungalow has a gabled, broken-backed, corrugated iron
roof and fibreboard extensions have been made to the building. Between the two buildings is a corrugated iron office which is still in its original state.
