Integrity/Authenticity

Level of Integrity - Low; Level of Authenticity - Low

Condition

Poor This simple cottage was built in the 1930s to accommodate migrant workers. Italian migrants Jack and Dora Pollese built the cottage with the help of community members as they established themselves in the community. They added to the cottage in the 1940s generally with materials that could be sourced locally for little cost. The house was lived in until the 1970s and since then has become derelict.
