Statement of Significance

The place, for its building form and architectural characteristics, makes a positive contribution to the streetscape. This place is an example of a workers cottage and is representative of the
development of Maylands following the turn of the century.

Physical Description

The house has a full width verandah with a hipped roof over. The original turned verandah posts and fret work are in place. The windows are double hung sashes flanking a four panel door with glazed and panel sidelights. Later rendering has obscured some detailing. It has rendered brickwork and a timber framed tiled roof.

History

An important though modified house in a street of small dwellings that contributes positively to the precinct of Ninth Avenue.
