The construction of the Printing Shop is representative of the simple structures that are typical of the local architecture.
The shop comprises two, small adjoining single-storey and gable-roofed structures which are built to the building line of Tower Street The building has a relatively new lean-to verandah roof that extends over half the pavement across the street elevation. The roof is supported on galvanised iron columns. The window openings have been altered to aluminium window sliding frames which security grilles, and the entrance door is new. The former \
workshop may originally have been constructed as two separate premises. The place has been converted to a residence (in one structure) with a bedroom at the front and a kitchen at the rear. The shop is in the other structure.
Possibly the site of the former local newspaper. The paper was launched by Walter Barker in July 1899 as the Mount Leonora Miner. Its name was changed in 1910 to the Leonora Miner and remained under that name until 1928. Hie printing offices in 1901 were said to be very well equipped and able to satisfy the demands of future expansion.
