Located on the north side of High Street, the building is a single-storey timber framed residential property, clad with weatherboard and topped with a corrugated iron roof. The front of the house is symmetrical with a central entrance doorway flanked on either side by a window. A verandah extends across the front façade, with non-original filigree details.
Some mature plantings exist to the rear of the property.
Internally the building comprises two bedrooms, kitchen and lounge arranged on either side of a central hallway. To the rear of the property is the bathroom, WC and enclosed sleepout. Many of the rooms are brightly painted.
Some original elements of the property include the timber floorboards and fireplaces.
The property appears to be in fair condition.
The house was constructed under the War Service Homes scheme by the Workers Homes Board in 1927. It remained in the ownership of the War Service Homes Commission until 1949.
