Physical Description

Three storey warehouse building - originally brick and stucco, has been painted. Floors differentiated by different architectural detailing. Third floor distinguished by simple geometric lines and stepped skyline whereas the lower levels are characterised by classical features including prominent cornice, structural bays with matching details, arched windows at first floor level and large openness at street level.

History

The warehouse was constructed in 1905 for an importer and tea merchant. The third floor was added in 1922 and is designed to complement the original building but is simpler in form.

Medium level of integrity.

Medium level of authenticity as it is largely as originally constructed with detail intact. Third Floor added in 1922.
