The place demonstrates a way of life. The place is integral in the
main street streetscape of Karlgarin. It demonstrates the character and townscape of Karlgarin.
Timber framed and weatherboard clad The building has a double gable frontage
and may have been two buildings with a gable roof each. A verandah extends across the entire
frontage of both gables, and is supported by metal posts. The building scale, proportion and
gable frontage and verandah responds to other places in Melba Street which runs parallel with the
railway line, and is opposite the siding site.
After the town established at the railway siding in Karlgarin,
shops located in the new town. The Co-op was a branch of the Yilliminning- Kondinin Co-op
which were established at most towns along the railway line.
It is now a private residence.
