Statement of Significance
The tree has aesthetic value for its contribution to the streetscape.
The tree has historic value as a demonstration of the longevity of the community in the town
Physical Description
Mature specimen located on the edge of the park along Railway Parade.
History
This tree represents the establishment and development of the community in the early 20th century. The size of the tree indicates it was planted at this time when the settlement was being established.
Previously a row of dwellings was located in the vicinity of the tree between the workshops and School Road. Families living in this group of dwellings included the Tippetts, Wellingtons and Cattachs.
The tree survived the January 2016 Yarloop/Harvey/Waroona Fire.
