The place has aesthetic value as it has impressive design detail.
The place has rarity value due to the church and the adjacent hall being built in the same detail.
The place has representativeness value because it is a good example of a regional church (and Hall).
The church was built out of local stone and is single storey. It has a gabled high pitched roof with new sheeting. It has gothic pointed arch windows and rendered quoins.
The Shire of Beverley Municipal Inventory states:
‘This small church was built of local stone almost single handed by Mr A.E Woodruffe – lay minister to Cannon Grosser the 2nd rector of Beverley in 1895. Stone was carted to the site by members of the Potts family and others. Situated in a small bush setting next to Dale Hall, it is surrounded by a recently restored graveyard with 32 marked graves and an unknown number of unmarked graves.’
