Statement of Significance

The place demonstrates a way of life, associations with an occupation and early commerce in Moora. Associations with the Purser Family and the continuity of their involvement is significant. The place is significant within the charater of the townscape of Moora and it place in the streetscape.

Physical Description

The parapet has a curved pediment concealing the gable roof. The shop front has been refurbished with aluminium framed windows and doors, and ceramic glazed tiles. A suspended canopy is constructed of metal deck cladding.

History

Will Purser was an apprentice butcher and later bought the shop in 1938. the Purser family still run the shop.
