Full implications of inclusion into the Town Planning Scheme No. 4 are outlined in appendix 1. Should a development application be received for a place, an assessment of the appropriateness of development would be made. Professional advice and consultation would be available, from the Heritage Council of WA, through the Wheatbelt Heritage Adviser, the Shire or specialised consultants, to inform property owners of development options should it be appropriate.

Statement of Significance

The place represents a fine architectural example which makes a significant contribution to the streetscape and character of Moora.

Physical Description

Constructed in the 1910's.
Brick construction which has been painted. The parapet has a decorative cornice. The pilasters either side of the frontage carry through the parapet. The capital of the pilasters under the verandah are detailed in decorative stucco. The facade is balanced with a large archw ith fixed light. The shop front window is and truncated, recessed door, on one side, are beneath the fixed light. The shop front verandah has been replaced by a horizontal colorbond clad suspended facia awning.

History

The shop was a pharmacy until 1956.
