Level 1 Residential Conservation Area

The place should not be demolished. The conservation of the place should be considered in the context of the character of the surrounding heritage streetscape and level of significance of the Conservation Area. Significant/original fabric should be retained and conserved. The street façade of the building should not be altered or adapted, except to restore original detail where this has been lost. The remainder of the building or place may be extended or adapted; however the original significant building or place should remain the dominant feature on the site when viewed from the street. In the event of a change of use, the new use should be compatible with the heritage values, significance and historic themes of the place. The new use should not diminish the significance of the Conservation Area in which it is located.
