Physical Description

This is a natural landform formed by white shells on the western side of the tip of Point Petit.

History

Named by the Baudin expedition (1801-1803) after Francois Etienne L'Haridon doctor on the Geographe'. (Source: 'Shark Bay - The Map', Shire of Shark Bay.) Lighters called in at these spits and bagged shell grit in the 1930s.
