Statement of Significance

The architectural character of the exterior is typical of 1900. The use of brick, render and CGI roofing is typical of this period. A building of architectural ad social significance.

Physical Description

The Temple is a small red brick hall on a suburban lot with surrounding garden. It is an interesting mixture of forms: neo classical stuccoed portico at the front; a house style building with pitched iron roof and eaves behind that; then at the back a rectangular hall with parapet wall all around classical 'niches' and rendered quoins, and a pitched iron roof with two small turrets. The setting of the building is spoilt by an ugly iron fence at the front
