Mount Pleasant has high historic significance given its connection to Lt. George Grey and the first European exploration of the Irwin District.
This is a large sand hill covered by light scrub on the south bank of the Irwin River, just east of the Dongara townsite.
In 1839, Mount Pleasant was named and used as a lookout point by Lt. George Grey on his epic walk to Perth .
