Aesthetically significant as an example of Fremantle’s vernacular architecture. Typical timber framed single storey cottage dating from the first decades of the twentieth century. Historically significant as a representation of working people’s living conditions in the Fremantle area.
Single storey timber framed and weatherboard clad walls and a corrugated iron gable roof house. The roof extends onto the veranda and is supported by chamfered timber posts between timber brackets. There are additions to the rear of the house.
This lot (20 of 83) was vacant in 1910/11. A residence is recorded in 1930. (Fremantle Rate Book records).
