Important to bassendean as a commemorative site.
The Memorial Gates were originally described as being of stone and wrought iron. They were not extant when the place was reviewed in 2009.
Erected as part of the centenary celebrations of Western Australia, near a section of Success hill Spring believed to be where Captian Stirling once refilled his water barrels.
