The site represents a wa of life n longer practised and associations with a Moora identity.
It was built for John Cook in 1909. Later J Davey, a bootmaker ran a business from the place. Mrs Wallace first operated a bakery from her own home in Roberts Street before she moved to this premises. Mrs Wallace ran a bakery and tearooms while she and her family lived at the back of the shop. Later Mrs Chidzey bought the shop.
