Considerable Significance |
The house has aesthetic heritage significance in that it represents an architectural period of the 1920's. It has characteristics valued by the people of Denmark and has streetscape and townscape value. In 1997 the residence was also used for business purposes and was originally the home of prominent family R (Dick) Nockolds of Nockolds' Store on South Coast Highway.
The house has timber walls with a corrugated iron roof. The front bullnosed verandah is supported by double timber posts with simple balustrades. Changes to the house have been kept in style with the original design, therefore the integrity has not been compromised. The triple casement windows are timber framed and timber steps lead to the front porch. A decorative awning over the front window is not original.
