Statement of Significance

The building is a representative example of a simple cottage built at the turn-of-the-century.

The place, for its building form and characteristics of its class, makes a positive contribution to the streetscape and townscape of Kalgoorlie.

Physical Description

Physical Evidence: The simple cottage is asymmetrical with a doorway and single double-hung sash window. The building is one room wide and has a passage along the length of one wall. A timber finial features to the roof apex at the front of the residence. A lean-to roof has been added over an extension at the rear.

A verandah has been added across the facade protected by a lean-to roof covered with corrugated galvanised iron. The roof is supported on turned timber posts with carved timber brackets.
