The Denham Cemetery has high historic significance for its association with some of the early pioneers of the district. The cemetery is an important feature of Denham, being prominently situated at the entrance to the town.
Located at the entrance to the town of Denham on the Denham-Hamelin Road, the Denham Cemetery is surrounded by a timber post and wire fence. The old burial section is located to the west of the cemetery, with headstones dating back to 1903. Some of the graves feature decorative iron railings. Amongst.the headstones is a timber cross and evidence of the use of shell blocks. The graves in the more recent section of the cemetery are all marked with cast iron markers and several are decorated with small ceramic tiles.
The oldest identifiable headstone in the cemetery is dated 1903.
