History

The Post Office was constructed in about 1927, on a similar design to many other post offices constructed in the wheatbelt at that time. The post office was important in the development of more efficient mail and communication services throughout the region. In the early 1980s post offices throughout the state were privatised. The Quairading Post Office has continued the post office function and further reinforced its social role, in operating the Quairading Library from the premises.
